The Probate Court has an "index only" of births and deaths (those that "were reported" to the proper officials) from 1867 to an undetermined ending point.

The Perry County chapter of the OGS copied two of the probate court's birth indexes: Probate Births, 1867-1908, and Probate Births 1909-19--.

The Probate Births, 1909-19-- also contains the "Delayed and Corrected Births" for this office.

20 Dec 1908 present Ohio Department of Health Due to the new Ohio legislation (HB95) all copies must be certified; the cost is $15.00 each, as of 17 Dec 2003.

The Perry Co. Health Dept. has "actual" certificates from 1908-09 to the present for those events that occurred "within" our county and again those that "were reported."
