Correspondence and Research

We are an all-volunteer organization. Therefore, we can only answer brief questions. If further search is desired, we will research selected material contained within the Chapter's collection for a $10 donation per surname.

Some members of our Chapter do research for a fee. Please mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Chapter for their names. Fees vary so you will need to contact each inddividual for their rates. As a Chapter, we do not endorse these researchers. We are merely providing their names and addresses as a convenience to our members. Any work contracted between you and one of these researchers is separated from the Perry County Chapter, OGS.

Perry County Pioneers

The Perry County Chapter sponsors a lineage society called the "Perry County Pioneers". Any member of the Chapter who is a direct descendant of a person(s) who resided in the current boundaries of Perry County on or before 31 Dec 1830 may become a member of the Perry County Pioneers on the acceptance of an application with documented proof of descendancy and the payment of a $25 application fee. Members receive a pin and a certificate suitable for framing. Write to the Chapter for an application.

The Perry County Chapter, OGS is a nonprofit organization. All donations, either monetary or material, are welcome and tax deductible.
